OAO "Avrora" winery is the producer of "Chateau le Grand Vostok", a Russian-French joint venture aimed at producing high-quality
wines in accordance with French standards in wine-making. It is the first Russia full-circle winery (from vineyards to wine
bottling) similar to French Chateaus.
Chateau le Grand Vostok is built on land owned by OAO "Avrora", in the Krymsk District of Krasnodar Krai. The vineyards
are located on the hillsides to provide the optimal level of sunlight for the vines. The vine is serviced year-round and is
manually harvested. French specialists, headed by chief winemaker Frank Duseigneur, are permanently based at Chateau to guarantee
the quality at each stage - from vineyard maintence to harvesting and winemaking. The wine is aged in barrels imported from
France, Hungary and the United States, and are smoked to different levels to ensure more sophisticated and interesting blends.
A combination of modern European technologies, French winemakers' experience, Krasnodar region climate and soil, together
with harmonious blends of local and classic grape varieties allow for the development of original and unique high quality wines.
