Adler, Russia

Adler is located within the Adlersky City District, the southernmost of four city districts of the city of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Adler is located at the mouth of the Mzymta River, lying along the Black Sea coast near the southern Russian border with Abkhazia, the breakaway Republic that was formerly part of Georgia. Adler's current population: 76,519.

Although it is a town located 40 kilometers south of Sochi, Adler is considered to be part of "Greater Sochi."

Adler is the site of the "Coastal Cluster," the site of stadium where the opening and closing ceremonies will be held, as well as all indoor events. The Olympic Village will be located in Adler as well.
